R.I.P. Yvonne De Carlo

Just saw on AOL that Yvonne De Carlo, best known
as Lily Munster, has died. She was 84.

Ms. DeCarlo died Monday of natural causes.

Known as one of the great beauties, she became
famous in the 1950s, and after "The Munsters" she
appeared in Stephen Sondheim's 1971 stage musical
"Follies."

Gossip columnists had a field day with Ms. DeCarlo
and her many boyfriends, among them Howard Hughes,
Robert Taylor, and Burt Lancaster.

She once admitted that Lily Munster gave her
security (I assume she meant financial).

God rest her.
