R&R reports Sheldon Drobny has attempted suicide

...their source is Robert Gaulin, Randi Rhodes' attorney. It's in a frontpage item at radioandrecords.com announcing Nova M's being shut down and replaced with something called "On Second Thought"...

A guy with good intentions who got caught in an unforgiving business he knew too little about. Ten months ago he came to Randi's rescue... invited her & her pals inside... and got bushwhacked.

Sometimes when you see that lion with a thorn in its paw... you should just keep driving.

R&R then eliminated any mention of the supposed suicide attempt in a revised story. Its only source for the suicide attempt angle was Rhodes' lawyer! I've read elsewhere that Drobny's wife is denying that there was any such attempt.

I'm not sure if the suicide attempt story is legit or not, and even if it were, it's probably not wise to even speculate that the talk radio business had anything to do with it.

With tongue planted firmly in cheek...

I can't help but think how much better this industry would be if more GM's and radio owners took the same route as this Progressive talk host.
