Rachael Ray from KPRC to KTBU

Houston's 55 is running ads promoting Rachael Ray's move to 6 p.m. weeknights this fall. So ... what goes into the 2 p.m. slot on KPRC? Did they grab Nate Berkus? Or is Dr. Phil coming back after a year's hiatus?

Most likely Nate Berkus will take over that time slot; Ch. 2 has the rights starting in the Fall. I did notice that infomercials were running in Rachael Ray's time slot on Monday.

With Rachel Ray going over to Channel 55, I was wondering if Channel 2 plans to swap time slots between Ellen & Dr. Oz? Ellen moves to 3, and Dr. Oz will be heading over to 11:00AM or 12 Noon starting in September. Oh yes, I STILL miss Dr. Phil.

I doubt that "Dr. Oz" would move to an earlier time. That would be considered as a downgrade and I don't believe that the syndicator would permit it. "Dr. Oz" is the #2 talker now behind Oprah.

In addition to Rachael Ray, 55 has picked up "Brothers and Sisters," "E! True Hollywood Story," "Heartland," and "South Park" for the fall.

Well since KTBU has picked up "Rachael Ray" from KPRC Local 2, maybe they should go after "Dr. Phil". It's been nearly over a year since "Dr Phil" left Channel 2, and this show would be a great fit with KTBU.

The station once owned by Joel Osteen showing "South Park"? ;D

Then again, Boston's Fox station was once owned by Pat Robertson..

Houston has two full power Christian TV stations (14 & 22.) He thought there was enough support for a 3rd?

The station wasn't "Christian" per se when he ran it, but their programming was family-friendly. This was when his father was still alive, and Lakewood Church was, you know, a church instead of a marketing concept.

"The Nate Show" on KPRC's digital channel "This TV"

Here's something interesting: I emailed KPRC Local 2 and asked them what time "The Nate Show" will be on in the fall. On Nate's website, it says 2AM. I received an email back from the Local 2 programmer and "The Nate Show" will be shown on the "This TV" subchannel weekdays at 8:00 a.m. Interesting! I wonder what is actually replacing "Rachael Ray"? Maybe a return of "Dr. Phil"?

Hmmm ... Nate's not a cheap show. Shoving it onto a barely watched subchannel at 8 a.m. is an odd choice. Maybe they are stockpiling in case they decide to dump the barely watched 11 a.m. or 4 p.m. newscasts.

Update: Just looked and sister station WDIV in Detroit also has it listed at 2 a.m. KSAT (San Antonio), WKMG (Orlando) and WJXT (Jax) all have it airing at normal times. The Post-Newsweek station in Miami isn't carrying it; the NBC O&O there is the station that got it.

Here's a side note: The show Local 2 is replacing "Rachael Ray" with happens to be reruns of "The Real Housewives", which happens to be staple over on Bravo-A cable channel which happens to be owned by NBCU. Which is one of the reasons why Local 2 is going-To the dogs. BTW-I saw the promo for "The Real Housewies" during "Dr. Oz" today.

"The Real Housewives" will now be airing in syndication? Enough episodes have generated for this to happen? God help us all...

It used to be the magic number for syndication was 100 episodes and according to Wiki, Real Housewives has been around since 2006. So they should have plenty in the can.

Ugh...Real Housewives is one of the stupidest shows on television today. It just shows how crazy rich women can be, and how their lives seem more effing superior than the rest of us hard working people!

Why the eff would NBC 2 place this in their daytime lineup? Seriously.

Housewives was sold into syndication for the fall and has been picked up by, among others, the NBC O&Os. They view it, according to one article I read, as a way to get younger viewers to tune into "Days of Our Lives," the only soap left on NBC. Most stations are airing the 2 back to back. Will it work? We're about to find out.

I thought Real Housewives was going to be syndicated only to NBC O&O's, like how Queer Eye was a year or two ago.

Im surprised KPRC picked it up. I thought it would be on channel 55 or something.
