Rachael vs Guy Celebrity Cook-Off on Food Network

The second season of Rachael Vs Guy Celebrity Cook-Off on Food Network premeired on January 6th. I just want to say much like "Dancing with the Stars" where there are not really stars on the show, there are no celebrities on this show either.

From the who the heck are they department?:

Hines Ward
Johnny Weir
Dean McDermott
Cornelia Guest

From the what have they done lately department?:

Kathy Najimy - What has she done since King of the Hill ended?
Carnie Wilson - What is she doing now besides being a regular fill-in co-host on CBS's The Talk.
Gilbert Gottfried - What has he done since doing the voice of the Digit the bird on Cyberchase on PBS Kids?
Chilli - What is she doing now?

Hines Ward played in the NFL... I think for the Pittsburg Steelers.
Dean Mc Dermont is an actor, probably best know for being the husband of Tori Spelling (they had a reality show on the Oxygen network as well.)

Maybe their sterling characters, rapier-sharp wits, vast knowledges of cooking principles and practices, and madd skillz at making a cook-off show work are why they were all selected, rather than their recent resume?

Or maybe they all paid to play in order to resuscitate their flagging careers? Maybe this is just Food Network's idea of brokered time?
