iHeart is going to use the ALT branding in as many markets as they can now. That's because the new Entercom (with CBS Radio) is beginning to use it in markets where it's not being used. I don't believe iHeart as a national trademark on it, so they need to use it as much as possible to keep it as their own. In one case, Orlando, iHeart was using the world "Alternative" on an HD3 signal (without any kind of translator) on a station from Coco Beach, officially in the Orlando market, for just over a year. Entercom flipped to alternative on their CHR station, WQMP. They ended up rebranding within a week from ALT 101.9 to just FM 101.9.
