I'm becoming more and more impressed with the webcast of Radio 227... first of all, it's a high-quality 128 kbps MP3 stream in full stereo, with very good audio processing; if you have a broadband connection, this makes a world of difference compared to the typical low-bitrate Internet audio streams.
And as for the music selection... well, just listen to it! Either use this link to cue it up in your default media player:

As best I can describe it, Radio 227 is a delightfully refreshing mix of Adult Standards, Easy Listening/Beautiful Music, Show Tunes, Classic Country, Oldies, Soft AC, and Smooth Jazz. It's basically a blend of all the "adult" music which you rarely hear on the radio anymore (at least not on commercial FM stations). And at least from what I've heard so far, it's just continuous music, with no interruptions between songs.
As an example of Radio 227's variety, they just segued from Aretha Franklin & George Michael's "I Knew You Were Waiting" to Ella Fitzgerald's "A Tisket, A Tasket". And even though Radio 227 is based in the Netherlands, the vast majority of their music is in English; so far in nearly an hour of listening, I've heard one song in Italian, one in Dutch, and all the rest either English vocals or instrumentals.
Edit: Okay, right now they're playing the original German version of Nena's "99 Luftballons" (a.k.a. "99 Red Balloons"), so I guess you can add that to the list of non-English songs.
