lol I said the same thing, I called the station 94.1 the party, I don't think cumulus would do it tho, maybe if it was still cc, they would
 
The Party is strickly CC. I said The Vibe. But hey, a better chance now that more than one person has agreed.

However, I'm guessing they're just gonna refresh Hot AC. I doubt anybody else wants RHY/AC.... but at least it's original.

yeah and with the success of the old mojo 94.9, I don't see how it would not work

Hot AC is a possibility but they may want to go CHR and take on KISS 107 while protecting WARM 98 which sounds more like a Hot AC everyday.

I voted for "Positive 94.1" playing a uptempo blend of Christian CHR/Rock and Hiphop!

Well, all of those are great ideas and Matt, Positive 94.1 ISN'T a bad idea. Something like the Christian CHR they have in Chicago. May not do big here, but it is a change. ;)

I have to say from listening to Radio all last night and this morning, I like their sound now! I never really listened before and they got a good little mix. MUCH better than the old 941.

CHR to take on KISS an Q.... would be nice if done right. But Cumulus tends to slack on CHR and Rhythmic.

Who knows. Hopefully they stay current and don't slide more AC.... nah they got Warm to protect.

Chances are their minds have already been made up & whatever format they choose, the words "we listened" or "You asked for it & here it is" will be part of the equation.

yeah, CC would be more open to do rhy/ac then cumulus, cumulus is too conservative to do a rhy/ac
 
I suggested Electric 94.1, with a CHR/Pop format. A CHR battle in Cincinnati would be awesome, seeing as they're is one brewing out in LA with Kiss(KIIS) and AMP(KLSX).
 
Something to think about. Wouldn't CC in their agreement put some stipulations about what formats they can put on the stick? Think about it. "Here! Let me give you a huge signal and just you know go ahead and put a competing format of ours we have on a much weaker signal on it?" May be they were so desperate to get rid of it they couldn't do that, I don't know.

Noncompetes are an antitrust violation.

Maybe in the past 8 years, the government wasn't too interested in enforcing antitrust laws. But now things are going to change.

A CHR battle would have been interesting some years back. But Cincinnati hasn't really been the place for real CHR battles in decades.

Remember all those years when Q-102 had a near-monopoly on the format? Competition by Clu 132 was kind of a mismatch, because of the signal (even though I much preferred Clu 132).
 
Yeah, once again... I'd love to see a CHR battle IF Cumulus did it right. They SLACK on the music and it could end up being just as bad as KISS.

3 CHR's?

Q102 - Adult CHR
KISS - CHR (Rhythmic-leaning)
and the new 941? (CHR)

I mean, it could work sure.... but with Cumulus? Hmm.... Electric's a good name btw.
