Radio 94.1 is changing and they want us to refresh it

BTW, they have posted what others are thinking so far and from the artists they've posted.... I DOUBT we'll see a CHR or any kind of current format. 90s.... and no rap, no hip-hop AND NONE of the artists I mentioned.

Comments?

they have me and matt's name on the name part :D

Energy 94.1 ;D Nah - this is Cincinnati, it will never happen.

I like 94.1 The Vibe as well as Electric 94.1. I would think Top 40 would be the choice IF a format change is happening seeing their properties in other markets. But can Cincy support THREE CHR's? Smooth Jazz is the obvious FM format hole but with SJ's dropping like flies in MAJOR markets I doubt they start one up here. Of course <insert sarcasm> there can never be too many country stations!!!How about Yeeeeeeehhhhhhaaaaawwwwww 94.1? ::)

That sucks about Energy too because why can't Cincy get energized? Not in the top 10 markets? IMO, usually the smaller markets have the best sounding radio. Yeah, The Vibe was my name and I'm under there. Jonathan from Dayton. Cincy CAN support 3 CHR's because the two we have now SUCK. But, to be honest, Smooth Jazz does not look probable and neither does country. BUT pay attention, the artists they have named are 90s Alternative artists. They haven't posted any others because they wanna be able to say they gave what the people wanted. ;)

No, no and no! for one thing cume-less is incapable of putting a COMPETATIVE chr on the air.. look what they did to Q100 in Atlanta, they castrated it. And as a previous poster stated.. there's NO WAY Clear Channel would let them flip it to something that would compete with anything they have on the air. And finally, no, Cincinnati CANNOT support 3 chrs.. Say what you will about Kiss 107, they're cleaning up as far as their target goes.. Same goes for Q102.. Kiss gets the younger end, Q gets the older end.. there's really no room for a third unless it was ULTRA competitive.. and folks, that just ain't cumulus's style.. sorry to burst any bubbles here but it just ain't gonna happen... and if by some act of God it did, it would be a BIG mistake.

My .02, they should stick with Hot AC.. they could be VERY profitable with that format w/o having huge #'s in the twelve plus... all they have to do is get a halfway decent cume/tls with the "@ work audience" which really isn't hard to do with Hot AC..

but again, that's just my opinion

Jammin' 94.1 Yesterday's R&B/Soul/Funk/early hip hop (60s thru 80s) with today's urban contemporary...with the tempo tuned up late afternoon and evenings...like Lima's WILD 93.9. Sunday programming focused on soul gospel,Christian hip hop, smooth jazz, blues, etc.

(...and PLEASE CC...no voicetrackers or satellite programmig...just keep it jammin' exclusively by and for Cincy.)

CBS PROBABLY has that trademarked. I'm willing to bet they're gonna stay Hot AC. They won't go CHR, and they surely won't go RHY/AC. I'm basing it off of what they're saying on the website.
