Radio ad revenue heads south BIG TIME!

That first week after Christmas was always the worst when I worked at a small AM station. When you looked at the cart rack where the commercials were kept, there were just a handful of commercials. You knew the sales people were eating pork and beans for the month of January and you always worried about your paycheck bouncing. ;)

Thank God for PSA's to fill up those short commercial stop sets! ;D

Cart rack? Doesn't that just conjure up the fun of actually creating an on-air show?
You had control over the mix, seques, etc..the real fun part of being on the air.

Concerning ad revenue..as long as car dealers, and home builders and support businesses that go
along with them are suffering, ad revenue will dive. Those stations that have carved relationships
with advertisers, especially local direct, instead of relying on the book will be better off , but a tough time for radio coming up no doubt.
