Radio Aircheck Demo Package

Best way to do it is to see how some of the best are being done. I won't name any names, but some jocks have their own sites and have a aircheck demo you can listen to or download. Listen to a number of them, and you can develop a framework in your head of how you'd like your own demo presentation to sound. Some work with Google ought to yield pretty good results.

2-3 mintues of your BEST stuff. No weather breaks.

Start off with the strongest 10-15 seconds you have. Then 2-3 more 10-15 sec breaks. You can elongate the breaks a bit as you go. Key is to keep it moving, keep it entertaining, yet still let your style shine thru. Content is key, but don't make the breaks too long that you lose the PD. If you have a bit that exceeds 30 sec, place it about 1-1:30 into the demo. This way you've built momentum. If a night jock, lots of phones, and bits (later in the demo). If an AM show, then you're structure will be bit different.

Edit, then edit again. And then edit it 3 more times, lol!

I would suggest no more than 3 minutes for a music position. Leave 'em wanting more. Hopefully, if the first demo was good enough, they'll ask for a second demo where you can showcase more of what you do b/c you already have them interested.
