Radio Aleluya: Problems Abound

If you haven't noticed, and you likely haven't, Radio Aleluya seems to be having problems with a couple of their stations here in town. 1380 KRCM has been completely off the air since Wednesday, and at the very same time, 1590 KMIC is on the air, with no programming, and a constant popping noise going out over the air every couple of seconds. This, too, started on Wednesday. Apparently, there's big problems with 1590, as KCOH has taken to rebroadcasting KFTG 88-1 instead of KMIC.

I'm within a mile or two of KMIC's array, and see nothing out of the ordinary externally. Any news as to what happened to the dynamic duo? They aren't mentioning anything OTA regarding the two MIA facilities, bit they certainly are aware of it since 1230 has been broken off the simulcast with 1590. I'd think the Villarreals would have turned KMIC off as opposed to allowing it to sit there and pop like it is. 1380's off, after all, but not 1590.

The popping noise might actually be the transmitter powering up and down?

That's what it sounds like. Pops in with a bit of a hiss, then goes deathly quiet. Well, for an AM. I am right down the road, so nothing ever overtakes KMIC or is usually underneath it.

1380 was off today and yesterday; 1590 has been popping. Power issues would make sense, as that's what it sounds like over the air. Noticed at an earlier check of the band, 1230 and 880 both had went off the air. I can't hear 880 anymore since it would've dropped power now anyway, but 1230 is still off as of this posting, just before 10pm. The catastrophes continue. First KGG68, now the Aleluya cluster. Well, except 980. It's keeping on keeping on. 88-1 KFTG is business as usual, too.
