Radio and the L.A. Summer Olympics of 1932

One point I should have added to my article is the fact that in honor of the 10th modern Olympiad in Los Angeles from July 30 to August 14 of 1932, the city had the name changed of 10th Street to Olympic Blvd, just before the start of the Summer Games. It just so happens that KFI was located at 1000 South Hope Street, at the corner of 10th and Hope from 1922-1939, and KECA (now KABC) was also located there from 1929-1939.

Hey Jim, Kinda off the subject. Did you see the link to the KABC History card that I sent to Barrett? I know you would find it interesting and informative.
