Radio bankruptcy sale

Hey everyone!

Just wanted to jump in and ask if there was a policy about selling stuff on the board if it pertains to radio.

I have a friend that bought broadcasting equipment from a bankruptcy sale for his club, and has no idea what to do with the rest of the equipment that he obviously wouldn't be able to use in a night club for regular house audio.

If it's forbidden to post things like this I apologize, if it's ok to post, let me know and I'll tell you what he wants to part with.

Thanks for the break, you may continue with your regularly scheduled WTF?!? moments.

Thanks,

-Doc

He could put it up there, but he would be more likely to sell it off through someone who socializes with other radio people. Not looking for stations to pick this stuff up, more like individuals that are looking to add or build their first studio.

I looked about on the board and didn't see anything up front that mentioned you couldn't say "I've got a brand name mic for sale best offer, fist come first serve..." kind of thing. You know how some people are in here even if you hint, "I want to get rid of something as in like you buy it from me..." someone will be calling the spam police lol.

Besides, I hate to see a good studio mic go up on ebay close to full price when someone back in Dallas is hurting for a home studio mic to sound better with their VT or at home production gig.

Me too. I tried to hit you up on your website, but it was a dead link. I have a home studio that could always use a few new toys.

PS-all the stuff must have many blinking lights and knobs, or I have NO interest! :)

If not, call Dr. Emmit Brown, and he'll add all the blinking lights and knobs you want. Be sure and ask for his Flux Capacitor special!

;D

Only if it is delivered in the Delorean

I'm sorry guys, I've been busy on the road and haven't had the opportunity to check in.

I don't want to get busted or misinterpreted that I'm spamming, so I hope you can understand my hesitation, but I know a lot of you out there have home studios.

contact me at [email protected] if you want to see the list. At least this way it can be truly said that you were interested by contacting me.

I also have it on facebook under my notes. it's public, so look me up under Doc Bryce.

Doc,

FWIW I think I have seen similar used equip posts on RI, in the engineering forum.

I suspect TOS would allow that sort of thing, so long as it's an individual seller who's cleaning house, etc. Now if this was a company seller, trying to make a profit by pushing product ads, I'd nuke their posts.

I should note that it has been quite awhile since I looked at the TOS with regard to this matter. Just a disclaimer...

I scanned through it, but didn't see anything other than the typical spamming rules that could get your account removed. This is an individual who owns a night club, bought the station equipment for the club's house system, and is now stuck with items he can't use like mic processors broadcast mics and a multi phone hybrid. I don't think he'll be taking calls anytime soon to put on the house speakers lol.

That's why I figure it's border line, that gray area, but he's not doing it under a commercial name, he just wants to get rid of what he can't use for a club setting.

I posted the list on my website. just email me for the link and I'll shoot it over for those who are serious. I'll give you an example. He has 3 mic booms with goose neck mounts for $75 each, and I think he wants $300 for the boom and mic.
