So my wife is listning to local radio. I dont like the music it makes me sick but what made me sicker was when I heard these words. new Country 100.7 The Tiger!! 100.7 The Tiger! Blasphemy! WT? When did this happen? Why dont they just put that horrid station on 1045/1049 and Put the Tiger back on 100.7 with some real music!

I agree on needing to slim it down, but first find out what gives them the good books they receive and go after it. I personally like the flow on here than WYNK music wise but still needs to bring out it's best guns, which is debut more and more new country way before YNK .
I've been hearing on a small country station here in the state a bubbling under 40 song for example called "cheater Cheater" by a group called Joey+Rory .. So you're saying what's so special about that... New country image is everything, and this is the couple who sings on the Overstock.com commercials.... This is stuff I think The tiger needs to debut (ala some of the Lafayette stations that debut songs earlier than most)

Where I work, Morning Drive is 6am to 12noon on both stations... it is live 6am to 10am and voicetracked 10am to 12noon on the FM and all voicetracked on the AM.

The 6 hour deal is nothing new. When I was on 102.5 ('97-'98), our morning show was 5:30 to 10, then I was live until noon.

In Texas, many people that love rock also like country believe it or not. The red dirt scene (Texas Country) is quite similar to rock...ripped jeans...long hair...electric guitars...everything I love anyway.

They are playin new music now anyway ;D I listen to Hank III, Shooter Jennings, Sunny Sweeney, Charlie Daniels, Mel Tillis, The Hag...But I DO NOT listen to The CMA country of 2008! It aint country!
