Sounds like a possible sophomoric rumor started at KISV, but anything is possible. It's a trick from the old days.

Let me stand corrected. Allaccess is reporting KBDS going dark tomorrow due to lack of sales. The irony is that the last trend had them up and KISV down significantly. In fact, I think this is the closest the stations have ever been in the numbers.
Seriously, Bakersfield is way over-radioed. The market is due for at least two more rim-shot stations soon plus the dark 102.1 in Ford City may or may not return to the air someday.

Yeah, I thought it was good to see a second Rhythmic starting to gain ground in recent months, and now this.

Just let the computer run in auto until you figure out what you're gonna do with it...
simulcast one of you other stations on it... something??? but just dead-air? I don't get it. ???
The transmitter is in Taft, perhaps they don't have the funds for the fuel to drive out there and turn it off!but just dead-air? I don't get it

There signal was weak, there djs were horrible, and programming was garbage. This company should have never started a Rhythmic station as to one there had a clue what to do. It would have saved them the headache and embarrasement of all this.
