Radio Commercials that MAKE you change the station???

Any commercial that repeats the phone number four or five times in 60 seconds!

the foot store???

KARRRUUULINNUGH KIA

sex enhancement...and or anything resembling it.

advertisements for stripclubs

EVERYBODY RIDES...With Uncle Franks Car Lot

ED Commericals

Kernersville Chyrsler with that Dizzy Blonde

Rebath of the Triad with the Prune..MayCay Beeler

Oh-oh! Good ones Big Ape! Can't stand the smart-alecky blonde on Kernersville Dodge! BUT, I like the rhythm of the EVERYBODY RIDES commercials. A while back, those commercials featured a goofy looking Mexican guy in a giant sombrero (an obvious slap in the face of Hispanics). I thought that was really STUPID considering that most of the used car lots around are targeting Hispanics in particular. Wonder who thinks this stuff up? AND, what about the Midtown Furniture ads with the chubby guy with the mustache flitting around the store? What a crock!

;D ;D Watch it! That Mex was my Dad! He's gone back to Meeeeico!

J.W. at Parkway Ford makes my teeth itch, but at least he has taught me not to do business with the place.

If a dealership is going to run spots that insult your intelligence --it means they are looking for morons to walk through the door...

Right on Goldenear! Excellent point. And, of course, they do want morons to walk through the door...they're an easy mark!

As for best auto dealer commercials, the only one that comes to mind is Smith-Stokes. Haven't seen them for a while, but they give the impression that you'll be respected at that dealership. Their commercials have a "folksy" hometown feel that they say is worth the drive. I remember thinking when I saw them that that's the way a car dealer ad should be.

It will be interesting to see what the auto industry plans to do in 2008. I've read articles about more Internet marketing, saying that's the wave of the future. I think radio is going to have a tough time with the auto industry this year...maybe even worse than 2007. BUT, I predict that business will rebound in 2009.

My favorite car dealer ads have to be the ones for Ralph Spoilsport Motors.

I like the Rice Toyota ads. Using the employees is very effective and when they look like Angela Poe....they are VERY effective!

:-*Re: Radio Commercials that MAKE you change the station???

Wrong Thread! I like the Rice Toyota ads. Using the employees is very effective and when they look like Angela Poe....they are VERY effective!

Ape - these threads are about discussion. Within the thread, X-Talker asked which auto dealer has the best commercials and why. Threads evolve....just like apes! :D

Excuse me Tonto!... I just saw one of the worst..Guy and girl in Toyota..and he says.."opps we're out of gas..and OH God What kind of laugh it that she has...Everybody knows the Toyota gets blah blah mph..! ARRRRRRRRR!

Sorry, I like those. But I like Mike Hogewood.

Here's a national commercial I heard, and I couldn't get the people who do the Ask Radio-Info questions to tell me where it should go. They actually deleted my topic!

The quote is not exact, but here goes ...

That's one small step for man ...

WE INTERRUPT THIS PROGRAM FOR AN IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!

STAPLES NOW HAS ORIGINAL TONER!

Now back to regular programming.

... leap for mankind.
