Radio coverage for the big flood of 2015

Too bad News 92 wasn't still around.

KTRH stayed with Coast to Coast AM until about 3. Now covering this hours old news story with the morning host and people calling in. No reporters. Not sure if 'news radio' still has any reporters to speak of still left in the Houston area.

I noticed that. Last night, if the TV news coverage had been lost (due to power outage or whatever), the so-called radio backup wouldn't have been there.

And even TV coverage was lacking -- probably due to the late hour when most of their staff was in bed. It was interesting to watch how Channel 13 (via Facebook and Twitter) turned its viewers into reporters. They were getting plenty of still pics and video of the flooding around the city, like this one showing Braeswood Bayou about to escape it banks. Viewer reporters looks like the wave of the future!
