Radio Death Pool

OK, New Years and the winter book will be here before we know it, sooooooooo........

WHICH STATION WILL BE FIRST TO FLIP IN '07????

I can't decide which way to go on this, but I'm pretty much feeling it will be in San Jose.

You maybe right about this one. I think it should go country!

Hmm.. Looks like FREE FM, LIVE 105, and ALICE aren't doing so great in this trend..

I wonder if there's gonna be a shake up at CBS?

Don't forget about MOVIN'! SF reminds me of NYC, all of the CBS FMs are at the bottom of the ratings.

A little bird is singing to me that some guy named Jack is coming to the city by the bay in the new year! Anybody else hearing this song from others in the biz?

I would be surprised if a station goes JACK in a market that already has a Variety Hits station. MAX is doing bad enough as it is, can you imagine how poorly JACK would do if the VH pie was split? Then again if CBS wants another station that's at the level of FREE FM that would be the way to do it.

Bonneville needs to Sell 95.7 The Max!! How they stay in business I will never know! Terrible format and DJ free! Come on, Theres gotta be some "Broadcasting Giant" willing to give the "Bay Area" an Oldies Format! A format with more than the "Safe 300" and no I repeat no "Morning Duos" = not another Cammy and Dean!! or Ron Parker!!! There is a need for "Oldies" and not everyone is into KFOG and "The Bone" !!! I would like to see someone come in, hire only the people Ive listed , Of course John Mack Flanagan, Lee "Baby" Sims, Chris Edwards, Celeste Perry, Mucho Morales, and Candi Chamberlin!! I would like to see this happen in 2007, see the ratings go thru the roof and leave Doug Harvill scratching his head in dis belief! One other comment I have never seen a more stupid commercial for radio than the Movin one with the "Ladies Rear Ends' that is dispicable!! A good Oldies station would allow me to reduce my Sat. Subscription!! So to sum this up Bonneville, sell out to someone who knows Radio!! Kenny in Concord

KYLD - Xtreme Country. 94.9 has heritage as a country station from it's KSAN days. don't be surprised when the AXE falls. The cuts are not done over there at wacky 94.9.

Why would Clear Channel flip Wild and open the door for a challenger to KMEL. Right now they have the "urban" market cornered.

Maybe Bonneville should sell KDFC to someone let's say Eagle Communications or Citadal and
flip it to Country and the Classical format should move to a non-commercial frequency.

Actually, what Bonneville should do is take KOIT-AM and flip it to oldies. Whothehell listens to KOIT on AM?

The San francisco Arbitron market extends from Santa Rosa to Campbell. 1260 barely covers less than a third of it.

Im hoping 2007 is going to be the year that "The Bay Area" finally gets an Oldies station! Bonneville you can probably flip 1260 and really benefit, Give the listeners what they want! The "Correct DJ s" , not Cammy and Dean or Dean and Erin! and give us more than KFRC did!! I would like to see an Oldies format ruin Doug Harvills plans of making Movin work! Doug the Gludious maximus (rear end) commercials are dispicable!! Poor planning!!! What can i say, You wasted a good station!! Bob Harlow was The man!! kenny in Concord

I can hear KOIT AM (albiet with a bit of static at times) in Sacramento.
