radio disney

I would be happier if there was an FM station that carried ESPN as 950's signal strenth is in and out when I am in my car. I also am appalled at the lack of national sporting events carried around here. Might be time for satellite radio for me. By the way, Radio Disney might be the most disgustingly sweet radio station ever.

You think? And yes, ESPN on 98.3 would do well, IMHO, but it doesn't go much farther in my car (during the day) than 950. Guess I have a good AM tuner.

I too would like to sign-off on the "we need ESPN radio on FM" petition. :p

And to the keep to the topic ... if I hear the Hamster Dance one more time, I'm liable to go insane.

ABC/Disney doesnt own the ESPN affiliate in Indianapolis. Raven Broadcasting (Jonathon Byrd Family) owns WXLW which is an Afflitate of ESPN Radio. ABC/DIsney does own WRDZ-98.3 home of Radio Disney

Yes, but...

The powers-that-be have reportedly been quite unhappy with the [lack of] performance of WXLW. An associate inside ESPN Radio has told me that WXLW is on the list of affiliates that will not be renewed when their contracts come up.

If the Mouse wanted to move ESPN Radio to an O&O like WRDZ, there would be little trouble in doing so anyway.

As for the signal strength issue...I hear and read others complain about it, but I get it crystal clear almost anywhere in the Metro.
Edited by Guy_Incognito on 07/13/05 09:23 AM.
