AllAccess has announced the winners of the Radio's Got Talent awards.
In a competition dominated by commercial broadcasters, the surprising winner in the Alternative category is a streaming station from a New Jersey-based Catholic college in the NYC metro, Radio Felician University. The programmer who is named on the award is Ed Robison, with a history at SiriusXM, iHeart and Long Island's WBAB.
If you haven't heard this station, its an extremely well-programmed mix of classic alternative and new music that, to my ear, is better than many of the big stations in the format.
