radio free brattleboro: Shut down but still communicating

(From the "Brattleboro Reformer")

Radio free brattleboro will continue to fight for 10-watt stations everywhere.

In a pending lawsuit, the former community radio station and the Federal Communications Commission could not reach an out-of-court settlement and the case will go back to a federal judge for a ruling.

The lawsuit has been ongoing since 2003, when the FCC accused rfb of breaking the law by operating without a license.

It seems to me that, if by some miracle, the federal judge rules in favor of RFB's lawyer's argument(which seems logical to me), I will be buying a 10-watt FM transmitter the next day!

Let's all watch this very closely.

Thank you, Dan!

Can you imagine the choas that would ensue in places like NYC, Miami, and LA?

why is the FCC dangling the return of their equipment in front of them in exchange for them signing a settlement??? Hmmmm. Perhaps they are not so sure about their legal footing in this case.

when the government(especially feds) offer a plea, they think their case is not so strong and they want to dispose of the matter, rather than get a unfavorable judgement.

Sort of the same deal as the RIAA tactics used in lawsuits.<P ID="signature">______________
