So last night I was chillin over near I-275 and Wally World, scanning thru the AM Band and was getting a few stations from afar. I got one AM 1110 a news / talk out of Chatlotte NC. By the voice imaging it sounded like a Clear Channel Station. The other was AM 1530 Homer, Sports out of Cincinnati, OH. The funny part was 1530 Homer for an hour had a stronger, chrisper sound than WFLA AM 970. Weird......Ok I admit it I stopped over to WFLZ's night guys and their stuff a DJ.....I mean a Bus promo....These two are really funny on and off the air! Why they arn't on XM or Sirius is beyond me! Syndcate these guys soon Tommy before someone else grabs them!!.....Thats my opinion, we welcome yours.....lol

This is a good year for AM DX. 1110 comes in as soon as WTIS on 1110 drops their carrier at sunset. Most of the time they sound as local as WTIS does. Listen to them in the morning, and you will hear for WFLA personality Al Garder doing his show. 1530 WCKY also puts in a good signal most eves. It is a low time for sunspot activity which is good for AM DX. If you want to have more fun, listen to WLW 700 out of Cinci, or 1500 in Wash DC. Dont know the current call, used to be WTOP. The Chicago clears on 780 890 670 should also come in good, along with 840 in Kentucky, and of course good old home of the grand ol Opry 650 WSM. Then of course you can listen to the expanded band from 1620-1700. Theres not a lot of congestion there so the distant stations come in pretty good. When conditions are real good, the NY clears come in good. WFAN 660, WABC 770 and WCBS 880. On auroral nites when sunspots are up, you will hear a lot of Florida stations come in like locals along with a ton of Mexican and carribean stations.
