Radio Greats Sundays at 7:00 PM on CBSFM!!

My goodness. When did this board go from being an intelligent place to discuss radio trends and issues of the day to a glassy-eyed chat room for CBS-FM groupies? Is this as good as the conversation gets?

As a matter of fact, there's some very interesting programming going on over there. The first DJ featured on a show titled "NY Radio Greats," is neither alive, nor well established in the New York market. IMO, this is more substantial than chat room fodder.

Wolfman was established in NY however short lived, no pun intended. He was originally brought in to compete against Cousin Brucie and appeared on WCBS FM with his own jingle.

Wolfman Jack...as opposed to other DJs still living, who've worked in New York for decades?

IMO, it was a poor choice for CBS FM's first show, both DJ-wise, as well as the voice tracking it involved.

The original poster was asking a scheduling question, not raising a discussion issue. Had he noted that CBS-FM was doing some controversial...or even interesting...programming, I'd probably have ignored it. But the way it was posted...including two (ridiculous) exclamation points in the subject line...made it fair game, in my opinion. Not everything this radio station does warrants a thread.

Depends on whether you're in the majority or not.

If the "majority" means that everyone wants to talk about who's got a Sunday airshift, and whether the station posted at FAQ page on its website, and rumors of a jock passing gas, then count me out. I don't feel the slightest bit more informed for knowing that a station's web stream is temporarily down.
