Clawback can cause harm now too.Has it not occurred to you that the clawing back of CPB funds is an even greater long-term problem than it is a short term one? SomeRadioGuy has indicated in other threads that he may be able to hold out for six months to a year in the current situation but probably not more than that. And I expect the long-term consequences of the CPB cuts will not be felt right now but will slowly come into play as we go forward year by year. And, unless something at the Federal leadership level drastically changes, do *not* expect that money to be coming back to public radio any time soon!
Here in GA there is some controversy over the Feds clawing back the COVID and Medicaid funding which has a few rural hospitals threatening to close by Christmas.. Even if funding is restored, is very difficult if not financially possible to restart a closed rural hospital.
