Radio in Eastern North Carolina

Can anyone tell me the best opportunities for full/part time work in The Area?
I am relocating in the early fall but haven't a clue as to what stations are voice tracked or live and where I should begin my search. Despite my experience, I am not too fussy, just looking for something to help pay the bills. I already do a bit of free lance work. You can drop me an email at [email protected]. Just looking to get pointed in the right direction. Thanks

As you can see, after a couple of weeks of no response, the job prospects for radio types are not so good round here. You might want to enroll in the bio-tech program at one of the community colleges in NC. Some great opportunities in that field.

My College days are long gone aqnd it only takes one... it's slim just about everywhere. I'm still coming down and plan to mass e-mail a bunch demo's... someone will pick me up. Thanks for the reply. I'll keep you posted on anything interesting that pops up.

East Carolina Radio Inc has WERX 102.5 Shark with live DJs They own some other stations. Kitty Hawk area. Don't know if they have jobs. Most stations want sales people, not air people.

Of course, GM's LOVE it when you can sell the shift you are on. I have almost always had an account list. In the markets I have worked, you needed the extra $$$. I am used to 1 - 2 remotes per week plus air and production and then I have my regular VO work. Thanks for the nice replies. Still looking but the climate seems to be a bit warmer. 50 - 60 Mile radius around Charlotte (Maybe even Spartanburg SC) If anyone hears anything, just email me at... [email protected]. I appreciate it.
