K...so I am not internet savvy nor do I claim to be computer literate but I am having a minor problem with the radio-info site. Regardless of where I am (boards, search, etc.) the right side of the page is cut off and my scroll option isn't there anymore. I'm guessing it is a scroll bar issue, I still have one on the RIGHT side of my moniter (the one that scrolls up and down) but the one I had at the BOTTOM of my monitor is gone. I've tried to fix to no avail. Am I smokin crack again? Again, I can scroll up and down but my option to go left and right is not there anymore (of course some AOL TopSpeed thing is there in it's place) And yeah, I messed with all the AOL toolbar BS, the IE crap and haven't been able to correct it. Can/will anyone smarter than myself help? And I promise, this is my last post. I have posted more the past few days than I have the past four-five years.....this insomnia thing hasn't helped either. :)

Thanks guys...

Channing :)

Try "Quick Restore"

LeAnne,

If you haven't already solved it, perhaps the fastest correction is "Quick Restore".

Click the AOL icon located on the bottom right side of the screen.

Then click "System Information"

When the "System Information" page appears, click "Utilities"

Then click "Quick Restore" at the bottom.

You may have to close AOL in order for "Quick Restore" to start.

But it should resolve the problem quickly.

Yeah, I did system restore and it totally jacked up my wireless connection. I had to screw with both computers on my home network to get it fixed. When I came back to radio-info, nothing had changed. I still can't scroll left and right. And this AOL TopSpeed thing I am seeing seems to be a "border"....you can't left click or right click on it. I haven't made any changes to the computer settings...It's weird, can a computer change things on it's on? I have a ghost in my machine and I am skeeeeeeeeeeeeerd. ;)

Don't use the AOL browser, instead try Firefox.

Ditto. Firefox is a helluva lot better than I.E. Download it at Cnet.com..it's a freebie.

AOL v. Eliot Spitzer, Attorney General of New York and perhaps NY's next governor

Or dump America OFF Line ... unless you are getting it free.

Complain about the service, disconnects ... anything.

And the reps will give you FREE months of service.

They are losing customers rapidly to broadband, so they will do ANYTHING to keep you.

LeAnne, just raise a little hell with them -- AOL, I mean :).

You know how ... don't you? :)

Oh, and read about what kind of company you are dealing with below:

AOL settles probe by Eliot Spitzer's office
Internet service provider pays $1.25 million over customer service practices
Updated: 1:38 p.m. ET Aug. 24, 2005

ALBANY, N.Y. - America Online Inc., the world's largest Internet service provider, will pay $1.25 million in penalties and costs and reform some of its customer service practices to settle an investigation by Attorney General Eliot Spitzer's office.

Around 300 consumers had filed complaints with Spitzer's office accusing AOL, a wholly owned subsidiary of Time Warner Inc., of ignoring demands to cancel service and stop billing.

The company, with 21 million subscribers nationally, rewarded employees who were able to retain subscribers who called to cancel their Internet service. For years, AOL had minimum retention or "save" percentages customer service personnel were expected to meet, investigators said.

Better yet - try "Uninstall"

Any of those ISPs who offer those lame-ass dashboards (AOL, SBC Yahoo, Earthlink, etc) suck. The dashboards are major resource hogs. You're better off with a straight broadband connection without all that intermediary crap.

Firefox is great. Unfortunately Microsoft "innovated" IE7 to look a lot like Firefox.
