Radio Inspirations

Perez, Gary Phillips, Sergio, Dave Adcock... all legendary names to Mississippi kids of my generation straining to let their freak flags fly. Many cities had a "rock" station that folks remember fondly, but JDX-FM and ZZQ were more a cultural touchstone, a point of reference for establishing your "cool" quotient.
 
Well being as I taught old Dees how to use a board, a reel to reel deck, turntables and headphones too, it ain't him. I guess I would have to say it was George Flinn. lol. No, really my inspiration was Winston Conrad Martindale (known as Wink Martindale of course) and that Jack Parnell rascal. I learned a lot from those two that would fill a couple of vodkas, I mean VOLUMES.

Oh and by the way Earl, I taught old Maxie everything he knows too.
