Radio is still a great profession

Very true words Mr Walker... I remember the routine response always being that we did this job for the love of it or the perks but never the money. It has taken me a long time to get to the point where this profession pays me enough to live comfortably. I remember times when a full time gig paid 13k a year including fees and that was for an expected 60-70 hours a week. I guess I would tell anyone who either "desires" to work in this business or has only recently joined the ranks to stick with it. In the beginning it is tough...some days it will actually suck...but eventually if you have the skills and are willing to work hard it "is" worth it. None of us will ever be Howard Stern, unfortunately he burned every bridge he ever crossed and left a rough road behind for others to follow, but there is always room for another star up there and you could be it.
