From full to part time. Anyone know anyone in the area looking to hire? Cape Cod, Providence, Boston, Worchester, Southern New Hampshire?

Citadel Providence is hiring all on-air talent... ALL AIR SHIFTS for HOT 106 (soon to be the ALL NEW HOT 106...looking for new sales manager and sales people as well!

Yeah Radio stations always seem to be looking for Sales people. No station is going to pass up an opportunity to bring in more money. So it makes sense. But you probably want to be on the air. Afterall That's the fun job. ;)

Normally I would say there are not enough people in the market who would even want to work that format but given what happened middays I won't.

So what's this new format if they're keeping the Hot moniker? Hot is almost synonymous with urban, churban, whatever. Did Citadel finally realize they can't accomplish what CC in Boston does with KISS and JAMN in the same market? Whatever it is you can bet they'll be "THE ALL NEW" from day one to the day they have to change format again like Z100. I'm not predicting failure before they even begin but history does repeat itself in this market.

As crazy as this sounds, my guess is that it's going to become a spin-off of Pro...a more CHR Rhythmic lean. They didn't know how to sell HOT as it was and they think packaging and selling it as something similar to ProFm is the key to making money. It's almost as if they were ashamed of the format and didn't feel comfortable with the product in the first place. It's like they were almost apologetic about having a hip-hop station in their cluster. My two cents, anyway. :-\

So if milf is right we can say welcome to Fun 106. I know women are the desired demo but they have PRO-FM and LITE. What about classic rock but that would require hiring people who would sound believable.
