Radio-Locator AM Antenna Pattern Maps

The innermost red circle is slightly larger than the actual usable signal contour. Everything else constitutes DX.

David, you're thinking of the Radio-Locator COVERAGE maps. These ANTENNA PATTERNS DrS refers to are actual antenna patterns, as in FCC database, and appear to be quite accurate.<P ID="signature">______________

The patterns are close, but also "for amusement purposes."

Obviously, the skywave is impossible to measure on a night-to-night basis for AM.

I did check one suburban FM Dallas station for accuracy, and it was almost on the money.

David is right. At the bottom, you will read the "for amusement purposes only" disclaimer.

But I must admit they are interesting to look at.
 
On the "coverage" maps, approximately how far out (compared to the "fringe" projected lines) would the contours be that are: AT the level of atmospheric noise, and +3dB, 6dB, 10dB, 20dB, etc, above atmospheric noise?
