Radio-Locator reports on Christmas music.

There are 33 Christmas music stations on the air now. None are near Boston.

Interesting nut,ber a lot of radio stations want to get onto it as early as possible, as for who know how many of them might bring in their best radio ratings of the year. And for stations that main playlist that would be songs that are 80s until now, they will feature music by singers that would otherwise not be on their playlist, like say ones that have have lived and died before 1980.

WSRS/Worcester (central Mass, roughly 35-40 miles west of Boston) went all Christmas Friday morning.

That's the great thing about radio this time of year.

What gets on my nerves is stations that tell us what kind of music they play after the holidays are over. No. You do not have anything I want to hear, not even for the five seconds it takes to play your absolute garbage. And certainly not through three of those songs. Actually, one iHeart station was playing music heard on its co-owned stations and there was one country song that was actually good. Another country song they played to promote their co-owned station wouldn't even pass for country, so why were you telling us "country music like this"?

Actually, listening more closely, I see the iHeart station is trying to help those who were looking for their music right now.

Weird. WEZV's web site HAS been showing Easy 105.9/Easy 100.7 but now it's Christmas 105.9/100.7. Now it matches what they say on-air. Some recorded station IDs are still using the name they use year-round. The change just happened in the past few minutes.
