I found this station online,, I guess its an Indy Rimshot from Lebanon.. Pretty cool, sounds like the old time Bill Shirk stations,,, they seem to have alot of local community involvment too,, rare for a Chr station,, Id have to say I like the station. Wish I could hear it in the car in Martinsville, but I doubt most of indy cant even hear it,, it seems to only focus on Boone county...

It actually is a Bill Shirk station. Directional generally toward Kokomo...covers down to Zionsville pretty well.

Too bad its not in Indy,, They have to -protect WBDG and WEDM or they probably would be. So is this a l-pfm or a class A? I always liked Shirk, he has done alot for disabled kids and other charities. Its cool that they use the WIRE calls,,,, since they were available and heritage,,,WHY NOT???? I wonder if MOM gives WAZY any Competition,, WAZY is pretty spotty in Lebanon, but is the only CHR other than Mom that is heard there... you should always listen to your MOM...lol

I know around 10 years ago it was doing classic country with gospel on Sundays as WIRE, which remain its calls. This was right after Shirk took WIRE 100.9 to smooth jazz as WYJZ. I had no trouble picking it up at 86th and Township Line Rd on my home stereo, but I understand it's moved its transmitter and raised its power since then. So, it's probably harder to pick up in Indy proper than it was 10 years ago!

Well i was on a road tri-p today just to check out MOMS coverage, i found a s-pot just south of 465 on hiway 37 where it was coming in, and a few spotty Places on 465 west side, but I was on I-p65 near Zionsville near the old WIBC towers before the signal was solid. Station seems to play some country and some christian music as well as 80s and 90s hits, kinda a hybrid format.. Definately a fun station to listen to. Bill Shirk is a really nice guy ive heard, he even has an airshift on the station. Its my understanding that this is a non com public radio station,,, Bill must be doing it just to serve the listeners. WHHH was so much Better back when Shirk owned it and it was dance-pto-p 40,,, radio one ruined it and ghettod it out... the old -power 105.7 WTLC was a much better urban back in the 80s and 90s...

Ghettoed it out...

Half the staff was white and half black. No racial issues until Radio one took over.

Thats what im talking about,, they should have left TLC Mainstream Urban, and kept WHHH as Dance-top 40 with Tony Lamont,,, The Hawk,, Scott Wheeler, and Craaaaaaazy Bill Shirk... Was the best station Indy had ever had as far as Rhythmic or top 40 goes.....
