You could not be more correct!

Sam Malone's new show blows, Atom and Maria, that dude should not be on the morning show...

We need a GOOD morning show that is actually funny and fun to listen to.

These other just SUCK!

Bring back Roula Ryan and Eric!!

That statement might be one of the all time great premonitions on this board. May 5th is just around the corner, and who knows what changes are in store for KRBE?

Y'know Mark Stevens and Jim Pruett are both on the Cumulus payroll now....

Er, isn't there already a thread still on the page for this?
I mean I know I stood up for you guys for wanting to inquire and voice your opinions on an old topic, but damn!
You'd think this was November of 2004 all over again.

yep and as long as I am able to post on this site, I will post what I want and you can choose to not answer it if you want.

And there folks, is what makes the United States of America the greatest place to live.

Olive branch extended to you kaos. In all seriousness though, JCR made a great point below. When we lost Rock 101 in November of last year, we got together and did something about it. What's stopping you? If you believe that strongly in getting Roula and Ryan back on the air, do something about it. Send letters, establish lines of communication. Design a website dedicated to bringing Roula and Ryan back on the air. If you're serious, make a stand. If an "outdated, dead in the water rock station" can be resurrected by a dozen people and a single website, imagine what you can accomplish?

Everything I have read/heard has said no/no way/no how, but I suppose that can always change. I actually do like Jim and Brian's show on 97.5 when I can hear it... but I know it is not S&P version 3.0 (with 2.0 being Grego, Pruett and the Boner on KLOL before W&J). I am always wary of recreating the past. The new versions never seem to be as good as the original versions... no matter how good or bad the original may have been.

Case in point- Anyone ever watch Red Dawn lately??? I always thought that was such a cool movie when I was a kid... not so much anymore.

If S&P (plus Brian Shannon) were to try it again, I think it would need to be more topical than merely bi-sexual women 24-7.

Re: Jimmy Cinnamon Roll:

But dude, you gotta be reasonable.
If you want to have an opinion and voice it, great!
You should do that.
But there is a difference between exercising your right to voice your opinion on this board and creating multiple threads about the same thing.
At that point you become a nuisance.
But whatever, I'm no moderator.

Re: Jimmy Cinnamon Roll:

I just love your sarcastic comments Jimmy Cinnamon Roll, I wrote plenty of letters back when this all took place, I didn't create a site dedicated to them, but that is a great idea, anythings possible in the great country we live in. Thanks for your ideas.

The comments you were responding to weren't from me, but my name being in the subject line may have thrown you off.
No biggie.

Re: Jimmy Cinnamon Roll:

Hey that is no different that people posting about picking up a station in timbuktu and people commenting on it, what is interesting to you may not be for me and vice versa, that is what makes free speech great. I don't tell you what to post, I just look at it and decide whether I want to respond or not, you could do that too, I think too many people on here like to stir the pot, don't post if you aren't interested in the topic, easy solution.

Re: Jimmy Cinnamon Roll:

Actually what I was referring to was the multiple number of threads started by different people with all of them saying the same thing (Clear Channel bad, bring back Rock 101, etc.)
I doubt many of them even bothered to read the other threads that were open.
It got kind of ridiculous.

Re: Jimmy Cinnamon Roll:

Well I read this site often and there aren't many threads on Roula, Ryan or Eric, I do think there are some R,R&E haters out there judging by some of the comments on this site, but thats ok, to each his own.

Re: Jimmy Cinnamon Roll:

There may not be many now, but I remember there being a few back in October.
Now that the six month mark is here, I can understand why it would be brought up again, which is why I defended you guys in the other thread.
That doesn't mean that it is neccessary to start a whole new one for the same purpose while the original one is still on the page.
Sure there are Roula and Ryan "haters" here, but they have a right to be.
There were a few (ROCK 101) KLOL "haters" here when it was a hot topic too.

Re: Jimmy Cinnamon Roll:

Well I don't think there should be any "haters" out there, I like to support things that interest me, not waste my time posting "hate or rude" comments about subjects that I care nothing about. There are alot of people posting stuff just to be rude and obnoxious, when they could really care less, I don't understand those people.

Re: Radio Needs Roula, Ryan & Eric Back!!!!

Don't know if this post will fall in the right place, but I believe Stevens and Cleverly pay for their show on Cumulus.

Re: Radio Needs Roula, Ryan & Eric Back!!!!

What station would your guess be that Roula, Ryan & Eric would come back on in Houston? The only station without a morning show is The Point KHPT 106.9 and I don't see them adding any personnel for a morning shows nor paying the money that R&R would want. Could they possibly change from a morning team to afternoons or nights, although I don't know which station they would be on. I'm not aware of any openings on any stations.Where would R&R land?KHMX KHPT KIOL KODA KKRW KRBE KLDE ??Mike O
