So? A lot of talk show screeners do this. It's a waste of time. How many times would you want to hear "Hi, how are you?" in the course of the day. When you listen to M&MD, when someone asks how they are, 90 percent of the time, Francesca will cut them off and say, "Go." or "You're On", or "What's up" to focus the call and make them get to the point.It's just about making the on-air product better.

I know WIP does it for a fact. They had it in their FAQ section before they re-did the website.
