radio now 100.9???

Let me guess: You would have already had a morning show lined up before you launched, right?

::)

An article not too long ago in IBJ said the PD would have nothing less than the Morning Mess.

Might be a lofty goal.

Anytime they try to hire someone decent, they drag their feet and the "good one's" find something better. Any time they hire someone with a quick turn around, it seems to be someone with little experience and talent.

Bring back (sorta) Wank & O'Brien and I -might- care.

Until then, no.

Well I Dont See Wank and O'Brien leaving Emmis anytime soon to return to Radio Now at Radio one

Do you have inside information? How much do you want to bet someone said that when they were with Clear Channel?

This has nothing to do with the morning show, but has anyone else noticed how much more rhythmic Radio Now has become since the move to Radio One?

Does anyone think this might affect their own Hot 96 in the process?

Hey guys! Thanks for the talk on RadioNOW!

Just to keep the board in the loop...
a) Our new night Austin will be starting Monday night, January 7th. Austin joins us from 955 The Beat in Atlanta and he is a phenomenal talent. We are excited to have him on board!

b) We are currently planning to announce the hiring of the NEW RadioNOW morning show within the next 7-10 days. As no other morning show will ever be "The Morning Mess", we are confident in the Radio One building that the new morning show will be just as good, if not better. I love Marco, Shannon and SuperPhat Mikey and they already have a great start in Atlanta, but we do have to move on.

All that we ask is when they start, listen with an open mind. As all of us current jocks and former jocks know, the first few shows are rough, especially transferring to a new city, adjusting to a new radio station. The only natural progression is up.

c) Both Ed Wank and Dave O'Brien are great guys, but they have a great show on 97.1 Hank FM, but they won't be joining us on RadioNOW.

d) Actually, when it comes to the music, if you A and B the Top 40 and rhythmic chart, they are both very similar, especially, the top 10 records on both charts. But as you gents know, we play the hits. Whatever is hot (top 40, rhythmic, AC, Country), we're going to play it.

RadioNOW 100.9 is in a great spot. We're on the air and having fun, which is why we got into the business in the first place! If you guys have any other suggestions or want to chat radio, please hit me up!

Happy 2008!

Good luck to you, Tim! I hate the way Emmis, which is still basically a good company, did you and the rest of your co-workers, but I'm glad everyone seems to have landed on their feet and that they were able to work out what seems to be a decent deal with Radio One. While I've heard a mixed bag about Radio One, the decision to flip 100.9 to Radio Now was a no brainer. I hope they continue to treat you well.

Rayne,

You are doing a great job with RadioNow. Thank you for all the time you put in; it really means a lot to us. As for the new morning show, I personally can't wait. I am sure whoever you guys picked is going to be awesome. Bring them on and keep up the good work!!!!

They should call WGLM in West Lafayette for some advice. Huh?

Sarcasm noted.

Thanks for putting my music question it into perspective, Rayne. Keep up the good work with RadioNow.

Good Luck Rayne.. Im a long time supporter and listener of Radio Now. I think you guys do a fine job of playing the hottest hits for the market. Im pretty picky about how a CHR stations sounds, but I think Radio Now is better than alot of big market stations, its definately better than WKSC in CHICAGO, and I like it better than KIIS in LA as well. I think you guys are right on par with stations like Z-100 and 93.3 FLZ. I would like to see you guys bring back a weekend Dance Music show like you had on 93.1, that would really make you guys the coolest. Your signal is a bit weaker than before down here in Morgan County, but still comes in pretty good on a car radio and im still listeing. Keep up the good work, and good luck with the new morning show, I will definately give them a chance....PEACE
