Radio on the TV: Jerry Williams 1992 WRKO/C-Span

Two hours of video and audio of the Jerry Williams Show on WRKO and C-Span, 1992. Howie Carr joins him near the end with poll results (election day) looking good for Clinton.

Paula O'Connor producing and a sea of carts behind her. Something called 'newspapers' for Jerry to consult...

Did you see how carefully Jerry put on his headphones? Probably just had his hair done: he looked good for C-span.
Remember the feud he had with el Globo's Jack Thomas? I think Thomas used to zap JW over his weight and 'Cuban' shoes.

Anyone else remember that when Jerry started with WBZ in the late-1960s he had the radio show initially from 10-midnight and also a one-hour daily TV show on Ch. 4 in the morning?

As a kid I remember listening to Jerry on WBZ. His intro was the phone number… Two Five Four Five Six Seven Eight… and sounded like Gary Lapierre doing the voiceover.
There are several Jerry Williams clips on YouTube, and a couple others on C-Span. One of the C-Span clips has a news by John Masters, who always ended his news segments by saying the call letters WRKOhhhh, in that wonderful booming voice.

Here is a link to the September 1989 WRKO simulcast on C-Span.

Howie Carr, Margery Eagan and Jerry discuss among other things, Barney Frank.
