Radio One Augusta

Since Radio One finally sold its Augusta cluster, anyone speculating any changes? Don't know much about the market, but i know FOXIE 103.1 JAMZ is one of Georgia's Urban powerhouse. Never heard of Perry Broadcasting, but I hope they keep the urban combo in AUG even though Clear Channel has a competing Urban and Urban AC.

Who did ROIA sell the cluster to?

If you google Perry Broadcasting, you will learn they are an urban print and broadcasting company based in Tulsa OK.

Actually out of Oklahoma City. Mr Perry and his son Kevin are pretty good folks and have done alot in the Urban community around the state of Oklahoma. Mr Perry also built a new radio station in Oklahoma City, he built the tallest structure in the state of Oklahoma a 2000 ft tall tower for KVSP-FM Kevin Velvet Shannon Perry (Mr Perry's Kids names)

I hope they are a better company that Radio One is.

"The stations are WAKB-FM (Urban/AC); WAEG-FM (Urban); WTHB-FM and WTHB-AM (both Gospel); and WFXA-FM (Alternative Rock)."

It's good to see that the article knew the formats of the stations! So, when did Foxie 103 become Alternative anyway? ::)
