A few days ago I saw a quote from a Radio One official in a trade pub (I believe it was Inside Radio). He asserted that they are done with sell-offs for now. But I guess that's the same insider word you've been hearing.
Sometimes a denial means just the opposite...especially in radio. One of the best cases I can think of right off was when the minority-owned company that owned WRIF Detroit after ABC had it flatly denied that it was for sale right up until the day before the sale was officially announced.
I doubt if that came from anyone I know. If they merit a quote in that paper, they are likely higher in the food chain. I stick with the infantry and let the generals dine alone.
