Radio One Gets Another One in St. Louis

Radio One has aquired St. Louis rimshot FM station WRDA 104.1 from Emmis Communications for $20 Million. They will begin programming the signal via LMA on Saturday. No official word yet on the format, but word on the street is that they will reprise the Hip Hop/R&B format that they abandoned on WFUN when Radio One aquired Tom Joyner's program from ABC.

Interesting. I wish there were stations for sale in here in LA for RO to buy.

Sounds like Hot 104.1 is patterning itself after sister station KTTB(B96.3)/Minneapolis-St.Paul, judging from the music they're playing right now.
