Radio One Houston

Ok, whats really going on at 97.9 The Box/KBXX and local Houston rapper Trae. People getting fired, people hating...this is some sh** here.

And People are gettin' Fired for being number one ( WMMJ Washington D.C. ). THAT RADIO ONE BEING RADIO NO-ONE !

SMH, it's the Radio One problem, ShawtyBlack_ATL. They seem to only get it right 20% of the time. Whereas, the other 80% of the time they are on some bull...

It's getting out of hand if the employees can't play what they want on their own time.

97.9 THE BOX really are feeling themselves, first they get rid of Tha Krackernuttz who from what I know are legends in H-Town and I know for a fact that Brandi Garcia has been around for a while. It's just seems as if KBXX is being overlysensitive about the whole Nnete and Trae situation. I understand it being personal between them two, but to completely bans his music with him being a major icon in Houston, hell he has his own day in Houston (July 22 Trae Day) and then to fire on air personalities that have basically made KBXX who they are today is just ridiculous. It's going to be a show to see when another station comes in and pick up the personalities that they let go and blow KBXX outta the water, cause karma is real and it's only a matter of time. But we will see. You can't ban THE TRUTH just like Brandi Garcia said.

Karma is real alright... and it will bite Radio None in their a$$ if they don't get their act together. KBXX's ratings did drop a little bit in the recent PPM, and we here in Houston can understand why. The Box is just not what it used to be anymore, which is why I don't listen that much anymore.

How did this war between The Box and Trea start ? I know a radio station can play or not play whatever they want but if Houston's The Box listeners want to hear Trea music then play it . A radio station should be above this little silly pettiness.

The beef started when Nnete (who is the whole reason the beef started) interviewed Trae after one of his Trae Day events in which 6 people were shot but no one was killed and during her interview she basically blamed him for the shootings cause of his lyrics in which she claims brought the violence to the events. So afterwards Trae did a freestyle dissing her and that's when everything went down hill. But to be a radio station (the only hip-hop station in H-Town at that) and not playing who the listeners wanna hear is not a good look and yes they need to get over this because it is petty they're shooting themselves in the foot.

The Box hasn't been the same since Clear Channel sold it.

see...they can do stupid isssh like this since they are the only Hip-Hop/R&B choice in town. WTF happened in DC with Majic??? That had to been the dumbest move of Radio One history with a market surrounded by competition.
