I am officially putting my Major Hitwaves Stamp Of Approval on the brand new December 2006 edition. 954 / David has done another superb job in capturing what South Florida radio is all about in 2006. Be sure to catch the top news story of the month regarding the legendary Rick Shaw's upcoming retirement. It was co-written by DJ Stuart Elliott and Your's Truly !

Incidentally there's also an article in this month's edition regarding Timmy Vee of 107.1-WA1A in Melbourne. Timmy is their Footy (longtime morning show co-host). I used to listen to him back in 1993 when he was more popularly-known as 'Party Energizer Timothy Vee'. He was suspended earlier this year for playing the novelty song "Who Put The Stump In My Rump" the day before Thanksgiving last year. 'Elvis Duran & The Morning Zoo' on Y-100 / Z-100 played that song at least a few times recently this past week.

Be sure to also read the article on CALL-FM (my new favourite radio station), and how they are getting results by fighting the pirates of North Miami-Dade and South Broward that keep obliterating their 50,000 watt signal at 91.7 FM.
