Radio People and Karaoke

Ok gang, how many radio people enjoy singing Karaoke??? Who does it all the time???? Is it the micophone thing???? Public performance is that the thrill???

When I had a karaoke co-hosting gig in NH, I'd sing classic rock tunes just to break up the constant stream of Garth Brooks, Dixie Chicks and Eminem songs. Blecch. The heavily discounted beverages helped too ;) Yeah, it was fun while it lasted, but I haven't touched a karaoke mic in over three years and have no desire to do so.

she put me on so I could dedicate Layla to someone in the sales dept... I mentioned she was a great Karoke singer.....

Then I won tix to the home show from Cathy for knowing it was Rex Smith that was on Broadway with Linda Rondstat.. 2 times on the air in 4 hours lol

snowy and not the type you see on your TV when the reception is bad.

Great place to be for radio listening, got the southern NH radio market, the Boston market, most of the middle Mass FM's come in loud and clear, plus once I get to 495 I get WATD!

Great AM DXing too. I went to listen to WJIB one night on the ride home, turned out to be a station out of either Toronto or Ottawa playing very similar music. Stations from all over can be heard, except for plus of minus 50 Mhz from 1030... IBOC noise wipes out everything including WINS at 1010.

CHWO Toronto. They are the (main) reason why WJIB must drop to low power at night.
