Radio Production 'Vocal' Elements

Hi,

I've been searching but have never had any luck finding what I am looking for.

I have lots of Imaging SFX like Sound Ideas, Air Media, etc.. Air Media includes some 'Generic Vocals' but I haven't been able to find anything else like that.

I know they're out there because I hear them in lots of productions.. I'm talking about little movie quotes, vocal clips.. even those ones that they use "they play my favorite music!" "love the music!".. etc, etc...

Can someone please point me to a good source for these? The closest I have found so far is the Nightingale Voice Box "Voice Drops" .. but other than that I am at a loss. I'd like to have a collection on hand!

Thanks in advance

Shortbus, Reel World both work for what you are looking for

Scott,

Thank you very much! I had no idea these types of things even existed, they sound awesome..

I was hoping to use this stuff for little radio shows, promo production, etc.. and it seems like these two sites are the "whole package". I wonder if there's some way to obtain just the SFX... ie; they use lots of clips of shows, movies, generic people.. Is there somewhere THEY get these sounds?? I could produce the stuff on my own, I'd just rather not have to watch through every movie out there to find what I need..

Maybe I read their websites wrong, but all I saw was complete produced imaging packages for whole stations, correct??

Thanks again! Got these two sites bookmarked now for when I need them.

Ben's been having his share of health issues as of late so don't bet the farm on this. He sent me a promotional email on purchasing his stuff and aside from a note back after he suffered another setback I haven't heard from him. I don't know what his current condition is.

Thanks for the replies..

I have heard the Ben Freedman bank before, I do like that, and price is fairly reasonable. Lots of good material there, but I'm still not sure if I see something that specifically fits my needs there as I'm looking for more along the lines of movie clips, etc. What a great job he does though. Definitely keeping that bookmarked..

As for the HDFX, sounds AWESOME.. I think that'd be exactly what I need, but as Bill mentioned, I'd say it's a very steep price for big stations with big budgets... Was hoping I could find something like a 'Sound Ideas' type pack of movie/tv/generic clips, perhaps that's not as easy/cheap as I originally hoped! They do have some packs but they're nothing like the HDFX.

I am working on the non-profit community radio level at the moment, can't afford that but I'll be keeping it in mind for future endeavors. May have to settle on the 'Nightingale Voice Box Voice Drops' for now.
