Radio Ratings 8/4/2015

Emmis slowly making progress with new CHR format on 96.3 and Iheart slowly losing their footing. Key word is "slow".

Still have a hard time believing g the KLOU numbers. The Arch had a nice bump. The CBS stations are depressed. But if Hubbard can't top The Bull, I doubt they will have much success if they buy the CBS stations.

Not happening. KSHE has been "Real Rock" for decades. The 104.9 changing to "Real Rock" is in Greenville, SC.

Emmis plays it smart with their rock stations in my opinion.

With KSHE, I think we can all agree they are 90% classic rock yet the station will not refer to itself as classic rock. Why? Because when competition begins to show itself, KSHE has flexibility to tweak in a more active direction without changing it's slogan.

With KPNT, the station really rides the line between active and alternative. Much harder than most alternative stations but at night, you would think it's an all out alternative station. Daytime tends to sneak in a lot of active rock artist like Disturbed. Station can tweak when alternative loses it's popularity over active rock and/or competition enters the arena.
