Radio Ratings December

I was hoping since they are the New Lite FM, the station would go back to Soft AC. I Heart has used that format in other markets with good success.
 
Quite the pleasant surprise for 104.3! Chicago loves classic hip hop as history has shown but with this format the challenge is keeping it going. When done right it takes off big time at first but then the oh wow factor fades and so does the ratings. I wouldn't expect that they keep these amazing numbers where they are top 3 in every key demo but if they can keep them say top 7 then the format will be a success for sure. After the strong start the key will be to find good personalities that compliment the music and keeping the playlist as fresh as possible with the strongest testing songs for the market. Let's see where they are in say July, I think that while the numbers will dip it still will be stronger then being another player in the over saturated classic hits game.
