Radio ratings fall for Limbaugh, Hannity on WABC

Couldn't read the article without a sub, but I'm not surprised. If this be the case, how can WABC continue to maintain it's seemingly healthy numbers with a talk format that is almost entirely syndicated. I've said it elsewhere, IMHO WABC only does as well as it does because it effectively has no competition. WOR does not truly offer an alternative. No one knows or cares about WNYM!

Local talk has been coming back just about everywhere except New York. Truly a sad commentary! :(

WABC was down to a 3.4. Still in a good position , their healthy numbers stem from their good performance in the TSL.

WABC has a synergy format all hosts rock solid conservative supporting each other something WOR lacks completely.

Weekender Mark Simone's program has been getting big ratings, from what I have read. They could probably challenge Hannity's at this point. :D
