I'm now home after pulling the late evening shift. Sven does not have that mag. He didn't start keeping mags until '78. He does have a bunch of WLEE surveys!!! lol...You might just find it at the Richmond Library on Franklin St. I know their Broadcasting Mags go back into the 50's...boy was I having a field day that day! From what I've seen they have a wide selection to choose from. Clap for the Wolfman! Everybody get Nek ed! lol
Well, were big rock singers we've toes and fingers and we love everywhere we go. We sing about beauty, and we sing about truth at ten thousand dollars a show. Now it's all designed to blow our minds, but our minds won't really be blown....now how did I go from The Wolfman to Dr. Hook...I don't know lolol it's 3am...goodnight John Boy! Hi Steve!
Do you have any idea of whether that's the same trip to Virginia for Wolfman in 1975 that he visited King's Dominion?
I ran the board for Wolfman and Terry Young as WLEE did a remote live from KD one Saturday night. We had taken that cool yellow GMC remote studio up there, and I was playing the music and spots right there from that over the Marti back to the station. I'll never forget that night....it was cool hearing Wolfman that close.
I've been trying to pin that date down for a while!

I wouldn't doubt it Guy. Wolfman was in Roanoke at WROV around April/May/June (we're still trying to pin that down too). Our WROV History website creator Pat Garrett took the pix of his visit and show (see our website for the story)...he was a high school kid at the time. His photo made the front page of R&R. We're looking for the R&R frontpage to add to the history website.
______________

Hello, There Steve... I can check the Richmond Public Library on Franklin [mid-week] to see if they have that issue of R&R!

WLEE yahoo group

Guy, I'm considering starting a WLEE yahoo group. Wanna join if I do? I can post one of my other email addresses for you to send your email address to if you do want to. I am in touch with Terry Jordan. I suppose if we try we can find an email address for Harvey and any of the other "Big LEE Good Guys" out there.

I've had a lot of success in this area. My WRVQ yahoo group boasts almost 40 members, to include Bob McNeill, Bill Garcia, Phil Goldman, and the entire original Q staff I was a member of in 73-74 with the exception of Jim Edwards (Campana) who is deceased.

The WROV yahoo group I belong to has almost 50 members. We created the WROV history website at the bottom of my signature.
______________

I'd be interested.

Re: WLEE yahoo group

Steve....
That sounds great! I'd love to be in the "Big Lee" Yahoo group.
I have quite a bit of memorabilia from the station, including the very cool metal call letters off of the building. I rescued them right before they tore it down....
What great memories at 6200 W. Broad.
