For a few years now there has been an unlicensed Spanish Religious Station on 1620 AM out of New Britain, Connecticut called Radio Resurrection. They were granted an LPFM license for 96.9 FM in New Britain. They are on the air now. Legally? Who knows?
This is what I wrote on Scott Fybush's wall on Facebook:
I picked up the new LPFM from New Britain, Connecticut on 96.9 in the Hobby Lobby parking lot in Bristol, Connecticut. Caught a not legal Legal ID. "You're listening to WP?? (I didn't hear the last 2 letters) a Community Radio Station serving the greater New Britain area on 96.9 FM and 1620 AM." It was staticy, but listenable.
