WABC, New York will revert to it's former Top 40 format with original music plus the original jocks, jingles and newscasters.
This year for the first time, WLS in Chicago follows suit.
Both ABC stations stream online.

Sounds great! Though I think WLS did this one other time..kind of a "history of WLS" from the barn Dance era, through Top 40 and the talk format over a holiday weekend.

Someone running Drake-Chenault's "The History Of Rock And Roll" would be cool. Or even CHUM's Evolution of rock...

Well, here's my Tuesday Morning quarterback review on WABC. A great piece of history. Many wonderful memories.

Some of the checks were terribly compressed, as witnessed by my VU meters not moving off 0db through many of them. I was wondering if, when we were youngin's, did they, WABC, really sound that terrible? Or was it the aircheck done on a machine with AVC, like most Panasonics' of the time.
