Pat Cashman is back, JACK rocks and Mr. Shorts Mark Kaye finally
listens to his PD as KLSY takes down KBKS. Seattle radio is gettin
good again. Cashman is the best thing to happen to KOMO TV in
a long time. I expect a radio station will snap him up ASAP now that
he is back on TV again. My only disappointment is he didn't get more
airtime. Love the posts about KLSY knocking off KBKS. Finally that
station may be on the right track, now that MR SHORTS appears to have
backed off and let his staff do their thing. What was the point in
chasing STAR or KRWM? Hell, KRWM is in his own building. What do you get if you beat those two stations anyway, FAT OLD LADIES. Let Kent and Alan entertain the old ladies, they are a couple of old ladies anyway. CHR or COuntry
listeners move quick and GUESS WHAT MR SHORTS, looks like going CHR may
pay off after all. Heard some hip hop this weekend Black Eyed Peas and such.
Open it up and lets have a CHR war. cOOL TO see the new MIX night guy pound
on KAYOLA in June. KUBE vs MIX vs KISS now we got a good old battle.

While I agree with much of your post, I find your comments a
bit harsh. KISS is a fine CHR, but MIX is providing solid
competition. STAR and WARM are fine older stations, but hardly
just for old ladies and the STAR morning show, while aging
probably deserves some respect. What does Mark Kaye have to
do with programming, he is a GM. Who is Mr Shorts? Which station
do you think will pick up Pat Cashman now that he is on TV. Might
he just be transitioning to TV as a career? Just some thoughts.

??????
That's an exciting battle to pay attention to if:
A. You are a girl
B. You only like music that means nothing. Music that has no staying power or substance.
C. You are a VJ for TRL

if you reall think those aren't chic stations... remind me to never fall a sleep while camping with you :)

Re: KLSY Rock(ed) again..

Rumor has it that KLSY has requested a call letter change to KDOA. Any truth to the rumor Bill? And I note you left KRWM out of your comments. Could it be that because it's right down the hall from your office?

And when PD's break into the competitors transmitter sites and screw with the equipment? Now there is the sign of true desperation. One would think that if things get that bad perhaps it's time to leave Bellevue and head back home to Tickbite Arkansas.

BTW, that line about KLSY, (soon to be KDOA), beating KBKS, now that is true delusional humor at it's finest.

KDOA

The FCC Call Sign Query says KDOA is available. Maybe this is a station/rumor that's "dead on arrival?!"

Kelly - it's no secret Bill has no love for the Fisher stations. He constantly posts that Kent Phillips is "out of the building at 10AM", even though anyone who knows him will tell you that's simply not the way it is. And now Bill says Kent will give up working as Star's PD/morning host and NWA to become a news reporter.

Must be something funny in that Bellevue water...

Or D. You were born before 1970 and when the Number 1 format for men was top 40.....
